It took six days in total for the money to reach my account. I ended up saving 0.005% in the end.

The big rub is access to your bank account. I am wondering if this new system automatically gives eBay the right to debit your account in the event of a refund request or fraudulent buyer. I am a bit nervous right now as I now have one transaction under the new system, but I am averse going forward

Ok so I must have missed something with this new payouts. I sold about 6 guitar related parts separately. The first two which were bought by the same buyer went to someone in Canada and it went through the new eBay payout system. The other 4 paid out to me through PayPal. I thought PayPal was supposed to be shut out of this? I noticed they paid through PayPal but I thought that didn't matter?

As an update, eBay does have access to your bank account. I had a fraudulent buyer that tore some posters right in the middle that I sold and is now requesting a refund for the item, not as described, despite the no returns policy I clearly state in the ad.

It was not physically possible for this to happen, as I had them packaged by a professional poster dealer, as I have done for the last 20 years.

eBay is forcing me to accept the refund and the buyer will not contact the USPS to initiate an insurance claim. I am getting screwed.

I have been holding off on using the Reverb selling platform until I get more information. I am not too hip on the direction these companies are headed in the way honest private sellers are being treated.

eBay has turned into a strong-arming bully. As soon as this transaction gets resolved I am closing my seller account and sticking with forums and social media. It is a real wake-up call to get screwed over and then get nothing back in return.
