NKT 275 Transistor Print

Post by 1bottlerocket »

Hey all,

I wanted to ask about the printing on two different NKT275 transistors on a couple of Cornell First Fuzz pedals. Is this just a difference in labeling throughout the years or could one be a relabeled transistor and one original? Thanks for any advice or opinions.

On the first pedal you can see that the transistor label is all on one line:

In the second photo, the NKT 275 printing is much larger:

Based on what I've learned from analogman I believe the bottom ones are real and the top ones are relabeled ones based on the font size and thickness

Yes, both are Cornell First Fuzz builds. One is a deluxe version and the other is a standard version, whatever that means.
