That is just fucking weird. What are the chances that those two guys sit next to each other on a bus. I cant even imagine what that scene must of been like on that bus. What goes through your head after seeing something like that?

I'm not sure what the coincidence is here since it seems the 2 had never met each other and had no connection. This proves 2 things to me:eastcoast wrote:That is just fucking weird. a) Some people are very suggestable. Some people people are lunatics. Ergo, some lunatics are suggestable.
2) Nathan Carlson (noted Windigo specialist) wants to drum up a bit of publicity for his speciality. "Barely slept since July 30th". Really? He must be just about fucked by now.
I think it's possible the killer was influenced by the story but frankly that's really tenuous. 10 days earlier he delivered a paper that contained a story about rumoured possessed cannibals. Which he may or may not have read.
I find it sad and entertaining in equal measure that newspapers find this bollocks worthy of mention. The killing is tragic and I weep for the guy's family but it's not helping anyone by cloaking this in some Blair Witch fantasy and publicising it.
Cheers folks - sleep well,
mike

Creepy stuff...
I am getting hungry,,, from reading those articles...
((Better than that ""BIGFOOT body found in GA"" story . . . one of them was a cop from the Clayton County...))
PEOPLE need something to blame or an excuse for our own evil or an action of it.
SO we create things like Windigo. . . . satan . . evil... (they are very real in my opinion.)
reason for my insanity is simple . . . lack of having enough fuzz pedals

Wendigo would be a cool name for a fuzz. Though i suppose it would have to slice off your head with treble.

I thought the coincidence was that the guy who was killed was actually researching or studying wendigo shit and sat next to some freak who killed him very similar to what he was researching. Maybe I read the story wrong.
Either way that shit is seriously fucked up!

I had to reread that post to be sure because I was a bit pissed* when I replied but yeah, I think the bloke on the bus was just some poor sod in the wrong place at the wrong time. The spooky coincidence seems to be that the guy who killed him may have read a story about similar killings in a paper he delivered 10 days earlier.
The bloke who wrote the article shouldn't tear himself up with guilt over it really. Anyone who would decapitate someone on a bus was going to be triggered by something one day soon. We're lucky he didn't build a bomb.
Cheers,
Mike
That's the UK "pissed" obviously (i.e. trousered, kettled, drunk). I wasn't mad at anyone. In fact I was at peace with the world (and Wylam Brewery in particular).

I wondered what a Wendigo was. I've been slaughtering them on Final Fantasy 12 for the last couple of months.
It's like an orange on a toothpick
