All Hail... the Pigdog MKI __///__
[blink]Pigdog MKI![/blink]
So I was a few years late on the 1965, didn't have enough cash at the time of the Jerms' so I figured I would give this one a go///
and seriously, I can't imagine an MKI sounding any better. It is exactly what I had hoped for tone-wise.
I just had a real quick run with it, but this thing is so responsive to guitar volume changes that it really blows my mind. The only other pedal that I have to compare it to at all is my Elka Dizzytone, which is pretty different in character but can achieve some similar stuffs.
This thing is raw, ripping vintage fuzz. Unlike most pedals of today, you can hear the voltage and transistors working hard to push out the sound. It can achieve nice gated fuzz or singing sustain. It's fat, juicy and really organic sounding.
ok. well I'm off to work. I will update this later with better pics and descriptions.
but God Damn!
Thank you Steve.
I can mark MKI's off the list for ever.

here is the promised porno (with my sweet spot setting on the knobs):

Re:
Hah, sorry if I confused everyone here. What edkoppel is talking about is the MKI pedal, which is a Pigdog creation (Dazed and Confused on here). He also makes fabulous mini amps that are awesome. That's what I was talking about.Scott wrote:I'm confused here. Are we talking about one of those 3 pedals or an amp that is not pictured?

Re: and God said...
Yep, ye ole Pigdog!
she's a regular, everyday staple around the homestead
wow, Ed that Mk1 Steve did looks insanely good!!
probably didn't need to get the 9v jack, Steve...you were right.
but glad i have it on there in case i run outta batteries and there's zombies about.
they truly are the most portable, handy little amps imaginable.
i haven't even plugged in my little 1x8 tube amp in for months.
had to look up a '63 Astro Jet, Trevor. Wow, what a weird & cool guitar!!
(the headstock!! rad!) Here's a pair of them at Warpdrive. (Damn, they've been amassing some amazing shit lately. Now
called Cream City Music, it appears...
CHECK OUT: those Bigsby protos!!!

btw, Trev...bring your Pigdog to BTS if you want. I'll bring mine and a '62 Duo Sonic...and some fuzz pedals. course.
Not sure what their backstage room area is like there...(might be minimal to non existent)...but we'll see...

So I updated the post with some pics.
I also just got back from jamming out in the basement with it, and my mind is still blown.
If I didn't know that this pedal was made last year, I wouldn't believe it.
so thanks again, now it's time to go be loud.
