When listening to the two pedals side-by-side in the video there are some settings I like the '65 better and some I like the Blue MK I better. Both are really good though. Like I wrote earlier, it's not like I need another MK I but...I need another Mk I
Thanks for posting, Jim!

I would like to hear the Blue wedge against my Jerms gold wedge. All three of my Jerms MK I builds are really good too. (Yes, I have three. I know I am so bad).

THREE!.......
nice work mr rocket. side by side with my ONE jerms MKI old blue has more volume on tap and is a bit crisper. the Jerms is more old school dark greazy sleazy thunderous MKI tuned.
i loves it dearly. it is my precious, however it shares that title with a couple other wedge shaped pedals

Yes, I have three jerms Mk I. I got incredibly hooked after the first one when he got the initial list going so then I asked to get in on the second run. After that I asked him for a wedge enclosure build with vintage correct parts throughout. For me the wedge covers the vintage tones perfectly while the others have a more sustain and wider range on the attack knob. I love them all. The dudes at Hoochies were blown away by the jerms builds.

Fuck me
Was really interested in how this pair of grandmaster fuzzies would compare, thanks Jerms!
Ms. Wedgie is like a delicate blue flower, the balance of the tuning is like a juggler on a unicycle - such a breathtakingly fragile, sweet & beautiful decay with no extraneous noise.
The '65 (on that setting anyway - thanks for the clarification Redeye ) is sonically a bit more of a rollercoaster. Forceful and exciting, more wild-eyed and aggressively crispy...
Wonderful fuzzboxes
Another face off? Her Royal Blue Wedginess vs Admiral '65 Sooper Zee vs Emperor Jerms?

Re:
True. Blue beast has 1M output resistor - similar value like in Super Zee mode in 1965. It bumps output and treble content a bit. Standard 2M2 value makes MKI little more 'dry' and vintage sounding to me. Great and simple mod for MKI. Additionaly in Blue there's a small cap between input and ground (like in MKII) which tames highs a bit in input stage. 1965 seems to be little more compressed on higher Attack settings.redeyeflight wrote:They sound a lot more similar when the 65 is in the super zee setting. The blue one sounds like its on super zee always. Jim said something extra was added to the blues circuit to suppress some of the wildness and in fact it does seem a little smoother plus the attack control doesn't completely gate the circuit when all the way down like on the 65. All in all two monstrously great but different sounding pedals. I'm really bummed about missing out on a blue.
