I've never purchased from him, but his descriptions on ebay are so over the top (as are his prices). I find the general vibe of his ads very off putting.

^^^I was looking to buy a Boss DM-2 from him awhile back but his over-the-top-in-your-face description put me off.

Oh I'm very aware of that, dude is as shady as they come...$1650 seems like a lot for that though considering it's condition...maybe not?

i have seen people run an item as an auction, have a friend ' buy' at a super inflated price, then when future listings cause people to check completed auctions it shows this artificial high price ( the original person either has 2 of same item or is reselling the same one twice ).

is that what we are suspecting here?

Yea, Guitar Collector aka LA Guitar Shop has done exactly that in the past multiple times. $1650 seems like a price he should be happy with so maybe we won't see it for sale by him again? Who knows. He always has some cool stuff for sale but there's all the bad stories out there about him.

maybe I'm just a nasty suspicious type but that bidding looks a bit iffy. Does anyone really bid like that!?
