Johnny A. writes: Some last minute change to The Yardbirds "Yardboard."
1. Swapped out the BPC MKI Tonebender for the Sola Sound MKI Tonebender "prototype."
2. Swapped out the Wah-Wah for the "Handwired" VOX Wah-Wah.
3. Added a JHS Pedals "little black buffer" (mounted under board).
4. Remounted the pedals on my custom Fix Pedalboards.
See y'all soon!! ja

Now the very first "official" replication was given to me for use with The Yardbirds! Pretty cool!!!"

there's a short Mk1 solo in this BBC version of The Good's Gone by the Who ('65):

Handmade, high-impact, great-looking radical queer germanium fuzz. A different approach to 1960s-inspired fuzz pedals, no clones, check them out at https://goodfuzzysounds.com or on YouTube https://tinyurl.com/GFS-YT

I believe this is Ronson's MkI Tone Bender (same one in my avatar  ). I think Ronson acquired it from Pete Townshend via a third party - was it a roadie that sold it to Ronno? Can't remember... but anyways, I am pretty sure Townshend used it on 'the good's gone' from the BBC sessions and here in 'run run run' from '65. Fucking awesome track. The 'a quick one' album version is one of the greatest recorded Rickenbacker tones I've ever heard (and the main reason I bought mine...)

This from '68, I've long thought this to be a MkI, by the sound

yeah - i haven't listened to this for a long time -the sound on this track sounds eerily like Philip's videos in places! Got to be a Mk1.

I was a bit disappointed with some of the BBC sessions stuff so haven't listened to that much either, but heard The Good's Gone on the radio last night.

I wasn't aware that Ronson's Mk1 had been Townshend's before.

Apparently Mick himself believed it was Townshend's old one - http://www.thewho.net/whotabs/gear/guit ... ender.html

Call Me Lightning sounds so 1966, kinda dated for 1968. :tu:

Hehe, I was thinking the same...was such a quantum leap to Tommy.
