Ah, a dark fly would be a fine thing to behold :tu: : Hope that you enjoy the fly - I'd thought that you had at least one of every production D*A*M

I really like that design. Now that's another pedal I wouldn't mind having. I heard the Slomatic clip and it sounded Heavay.

I am going to have to get another 'Fly. Regrettably I sold the one I managed to score to Donner. :bleh:

I got mine in yesterday, but I was away for most of the weekend.
Just made it back from a long snowmobile trip @ 4AM. Fuck, I really want to test the pedal out now.
I'm kind of afraid that my little 1x12 will get all tore up, though. :hihi:

And I don't know whay it means or matters. But it is serial #1.

I didn't even think it had a serial number due to the darkness on the inside of the back panel. Electricbones pointed it out to me when we did an a/b/c of the dark meatheads.

The meat head Dark has the most bass. The black and gold has more mids but still a lot of bass. The older one, number #54 has a lot of bass too and the least mids. The dark was also louder than the others. One thing is that the older one immediately starts to get that cocked wah thing going the whole range of the knob being rolled down. The B&G only has it at the very last increment of the knob roll off. The Dark retains low end the whole way down....and to me, retains its sound through the whole range and has a great response to the guitars volume knob.

I got a chance to play through the new Meathead Dark earlier today.
All I can say is, "Holy Hell!". It isn't too different from the B&G Meat that came out late last year, but this is based strictly on memory.
The one thing the I noticed right away is that it sounds thicker, and just a hair smoother. I feel like I've found a long lost friend ( I sold a B&G to Justin/I love sharin foo).
What the Captain said about this pedal needing breathing room is true. Running this unit into a 1x12 combo just isn't going to cut it so I plan on buying a new amp or cabinet to hear its full potential.
Well, there you have it. I'm going back to playing Bludgeoning heavy death rock riffs of Doom. :headbanger:

Another pic with its older brother.

Jazz, better get your chops on and give us a proper youtube demo! I'm waiting!!

Still don't have mine yet..

:hihi:
Tomorrow I will do one. Here is a pic of the inside panel.
