Oh, man - sad news. The solo album he released at the end of the 90s (I think) was fucking awesome. It's pretty sparse and desolate but very singular - really worth a listen.

Man, those last couple Talk Talk records are just perfect-- some of the strangest and most haunting stuff ever. I always admired his courage for taking such a hard left after enjoying the spoils of commercial success
