470k paralleled with 330k give approx 194k - pretty close to a single 180k resistor, what is not something one wouldn't see in a 'standard' MKI. By design, I wouldn't call it a modification, rather an implementation of correct value to get 'correct' bias range of the particular transistor. So making this mod to one pedal is not exactly duplicating effect of another pedal with such feature originally designed. The piggybacked resistor shown on top in the attached photo of Dave's Sola MKI build is the unusual/unique thing about the System MKI.
