Here's a clip I did. Nothing special, but runs through a variety of settings. Don't know it's typical of the circuit, but it really rolls back in to a great overdrive tone with no weird gating. Initial setting is Sustain on full, Timbre on 2:00-3:00 and Balance on 11:00. Towards the middle I roll back the guitar volume by 2 number increments and then down to "1" and back up to "10". Then I adjust the Timbre and Balance knobs. With everything on full, it feeds back on itself and gets a cool exploding amp sound. Gear is a Reeves Custom 6, Tokai Love Rock, pair of Celestion Golds and a Oktava large diaphragm condenser about a foot away.

Yeah, that's with all controls maxed. I'm guessing that's not typical of the original.Sickle wrote:Whoo, hey, head's up on that evil screeching at 3:00!!

It's a little taller than a MXR box but probably around the same width. Maybe I should email Jamie. It's up for auction and I don't want to pawn off a fucked up pedal.Sickle wrote:Nope.
Ain't supposed to do that dude, its self-oscillating! How small is the enclosure, are the in and out jacks real close to one another?

I would keep it, but I need to raise funds for the Sola Sound MKII. Plus I got this weird problem where I keep comparing everything to the MKII and if it doesn't sound like a MKII I just don't gel with it.Sickle wrote:You're selling it already?

Re: Earthquaker Devices Sound Shank
Apparently it was normal. At least with Jamie's version. He said it was due to the amp getting slammed with all of the controls maxed. Definitely made for a cool "exploding amp" sound!Jim Goad wrote:I like the screeching
