Bees!

Post by kb892 »

Super Bee No. 001 landed here earlier this week and I thought it might be good to post a shot up on here with an old relic I had lying around. :wink2: Don't confuse the two though, the new Super Bee is a different beast for sure (old Bee is more MKI.5ish). Love this new Super Bee right now, very much like a 1966 that's been bulking up for the olympics! Or maybe a fuzzface brandishing a knife with the top end that this has, cuts really well :tu:
much thanks to the Captain, Linzi, and Jon from downstrokemusic

Very nice and I thought the Super Bee standalone was a recent development. Thanks for the shot.

the old Bee is quite different, much softer in the top end and a fairly squishy butt. as i understand it, the old Bee is closer to a MKI.5 where as the new Bee has a fuzz texture that's much closer to the 1966 with added low end but the low end is nice and tight. makes a little amp sound really BIG!

thanks! i think that's it for relics that i have... the old Super Bee, Super "C", and MKIII have all bobbed up from the murky depths of the past to show themselves on the new forum now... maybe the Blue Box needs a spot in the one offs but i know there is another one out there that hasn't been seen in years.

yeah, i should do that soon... i'm getting really lazy(ier) in my old age... but maybe if they were more in there then some of the wilder creations from D*A*M past would come out of hiding.

Thanks again for that. I have been running my Red Rooster through the paces the past couple days, experimenting with that. I bet it would be fun to compare and contrast some old and new models of that one too.
