Glad you scored it! Roger's Vibe Jr. isn't bad as mass produced pedals go. It would be interesting to hear what others thought the best Univibe pedal, outside of the original was. I have tried the Fulltone and it is nice, the Dunlop Rotovibe is okay.. Even the larger Mayer model... All close to the original, but not quite there...

Yeah, I just couldn't play any Hendrix stuff using software. I tried the Amplitube demo and was totally underwhelmed. When I was in the Hendrix cover band we had all the real instruments, amps, and pedals. I had a Noel Redding Jazz for that gig. (A sucky bass by the way... sold it as soon as the band split..) I just wrote Analog Mike to see if they have any left...

The "Vibe" on my Foxrox Captain Coconut 2 is the best Univibe I've heard. Probably similar to his new Aquavibe, I guess?

Hi all,
Just got my new toy in earlier today. Here are some pictures of me unpacking it. Can you guess what it is before the last reveal picture?
In its box, fresh, never opened, never used...

Crappy picture, but here is the next one...

Out of the box now, view of the top...

Full frontal view obscured by warranty card/manual..

Here it is! A Vox VBM1 Brian May studio amp.. A very nice "Deacy" knockoff. No longer in production. This one is brand new!

Sweet Vox G. Where did you find a brand new one?

Just got my new wah in the post & opened it up at work:

I'm 99% sure this is a Colorsound after seeing the innards & comparing it to this:

Thing is, I've never seen one with this smallish Metallic grey enclosure with the input / output on the same side. Can anyone shed some light on it for me? There's no manufacturers name on it, just INSTRUMENT & AMPLIFIER written on the bottom. Plus the jack sockets, switch & pot all have made in England on them.
It's like an orange on a toothpick

Nice pedal! Rare too makes it even better! The Vox was snagged off ebay. Someone had bought two of them and never opened this one. I can confirm that it was brand new, never opened or used. One sweet little recording amp!
Nice score on the pedal!

I recently bought a Boss GE-10 graphic EQ.

Wow, this thing is the shit, I've always been suspicious of graphic eq's, mostly because I was totally ignorant to what they actually are. What it can be is a versatile boost/cut for pretty much any frequency, it sounds excellent through my vox Supreme and Triumph. It totally makes those amps come alive and is vital for getting over the problem of either not enough or too much bass on the Vox which is a stock problem on those series of amps.

Want a cool honkin' mid boost, this can do it, same goes for treble or bass or full frequency boost. I love it! :hihi:

I've always wondered about the original Deacy amp. It's germanium driven i believe? Maybe Dave could build a clone!

Yarp, tis a Colorsound...maybe late 70's early 80's as its the inductor-less type...designed by Dick Denney so the story goes. CS banged more of those out with the B&M sticker on (Barnes and Mullins) but I've seen em stickered as CS models too. But fear not Jim its Colorsound all the way
