Very generous Ed!
That would be fun to try out. Thanks!
So the compressor is before the BM in the deluxe BM right?

Yeah i have run mine before my tone-bypass muff. I love it.
the muff already sustains forever and with the boost and sustain from the soul preacher it's brutal!
i'll send it out this week.

I'll put you on my Christmas list Ed
Man of the year. thanks
Thanks for the info D.
How about Godzilla it is then.
Did you mean to say it can run
in series or parallel? Switchable.
Interesting.
Anyone want one?!

I can agree on the Godzilla description. Whenever it is switched on, you feel this murky and evil atmosphere start spewing out of your amp and it just sounds so huge when played. The tone range on mine is much sweeter than any other muff I have owned/played and the amount of volume on tap is huge. On my particular DLX, I think the compressor runs in parallel but I am not sure? You can either turn it on or off, and when it is on the "Comp Volume" and "Threshold" knobs become active. I can achieve some really cool "3d" like effects by bringing the compressed volume up, but not compressing it too heavily, so you hear a distinct clean tone underneath the huge muff fuzz going on.

was it this one?
cause that went pretty cheap.
nice score.
I still need a deluxe muff. I think then I will be done, muff-wise.

Re: FS 1977 "op amp" Big Muff clone
I have an article about reworking the Op amp muff to the series parallel switching thingy.
I am going to do a Deluxe rework with the Soul Preacher into the Op amp muff when I get a second of free time.
Yeah, that's the sound D!
Still got the Op amp muff for sale folks.
No love for it here?
John
