How do you power a DAM Red Rooster?

I have a DAM Red Rooster that works great with a 9V battery, but I would like to use it with a power adapter so it’s easier to use on my pedal board.

First of all, can someone please confirm if this pedal uses a centre positive adapter? I in fact bought a Diago PS05 Adapter (reverses polarity to centre +ve, 2.1mm barrel) but it doesn’t work, regardless whether I use it with a dedicated Boss PSA adapter or with the non-regulated G-BUS-8 power supply that came with my Gator pedal board. Trying a centre negative cable didn't work either. Hope I didn't fry anything...

OK, I found the 'manual' that came with the pedal. It says " This unit can also be powered by a well regulated 9 volt power supply with a Negative centre and Positive barrel. The RR-09 operates on a POSITIVE GROUND powering system so therefore requires its own power source or an individually isolated multi-way power source."

I suppose 'positive ground' is different than 'positive centre'...

Right...it uses the standard center negative psu (like the standard boss thingers or an isolated out from something like a pp2).
Since it is positive ground you just can't daisy chain it with other negative ground pedals (most pedals are negative ground).

Yes, luckily it still works. It appears it needs a dedicated 9V power supply to work, not a daisy chain-type supply.

yes, or you can daisy chain it with other +ve ground pedals like the Chicago Iron Octavian (isn't the Fulltone 69 +ve ground?).

Usually sounds better with a battery anyway.

I always disconnet the jack input and the battery last for years....it's a matter of habit, I have 6 DAM powered with battery in my board.....
Once a year when you do manteniance on your pedalboard you can change all the batteries.
But I understand that if you have only one pedal is conveniet haveing a power supply. I have the PP2+ and it's absolutely wonderful. They provide you with the cable for reverse polarity so you can power the RR.
