The meathead deluxe is pretty cool on bass I though, but only the the most extreme of dark tone settings. I would be afraid that the standard single knobber wouldn't be quite that dark. While the clips that was posted is lovely, I'm a little concerned about the bourgeoise equipment used to get that sound, and that the meathead isn't being that well represented.

Kind of depends what sound you're after and how you play.
If you want a fat, warm bass fuzz - look elsewhere.
If you want an all out grinding buzzsaw of a bass sound that will sizzle the flesh off your bones - then yes get one.
Its really powerful in the mid range frequencies on bass and you may notice some bottom end loss - However, you can kind of dial that back in with the bass control of your amp.
There really is no inbetween with the one knobber, its not in any way subtle. You can try and tame it a bit with the volume control on your bass, but why would you want to Its an incredible pedal.

I think I will try and get myself on the meathead list in may and try it out myself, I'm sure I won't have any trouble selling it on if I manage to get one.
