Looks great. I've been meaning to try out those Road Rage boxes.

They look cool but its extremely annoying to have to grind away the shrapnel that is left inside each hole after drilling. Every hole has about a 1/16" raised sharp lip inside that you have to file away before you can solidly mount a component.

Even with a Unibit?

Nice looking build. I like the idea of using BC109's in there.
I agree 100% about the RoadRage boxes. They are very solid and nice to build in, but dealing with the shrapnel left over from drilling sucks. :gripe:

Yup. I only ever use a unibit. Its just the metal they use. Hammond boxes sort of turn to little flakes and chips during drilling because they are die cast. The Roadrage boxes are folded sheet and they shred into long spiraling stringy wires when you drill them which is also not my cup of tea. Imagine watching something like a fast forward movie on the solar system orbiting at a radius of about 8" from your drill bit and growing ever larger as you drill deeper. Wear glasses :oldlol:

The road rage boxes are made from pure(er) aluminum as opposed to a zinc/aluminum (recycled cans and cars etc) alloy like hammond or New Sensor (NS). The pure aluminum ones polish better with the purity of metal. I think The Pedal enclosures boxes are have more aluminum in them as well...not sure though.

Just buy a deburing tool. You'll use it more than you think.
Only takes a couple seconds to debur.
In a pinch you can use a counter sync tool. You can usually get them
with a handle like a screwdriver for a couple bucks. Voila!

Nice Build!

I've been meaning to get some machining tools like a reamer and a countersink tool but I cant get them anywhere locally and I haven't really had a chance to scour the internets for good quality machining tools.

Yeah, a tapered reamer is something I use all the time.
I didn't use one and then a friend had some tools
he gave me...I can't imagine mot using one now.
Perfect for getting a hole just the right size.
