I'm really keen to have a crack at building my own pedal and I have been told that fuzz circuits, in their most basic form are a great place to start.
I can get a BYOC kit or are there other alternatives. I'm not so worried about the enclosure as I've seen everything from toy cars to a Kombi rocker box used.
I should note that as far as soldering goes, I'm a great piano player!
So, any advice would be greatly appreciated and no, I've no intention of making the greatest fuzz in the world, just the greatest fuzz that I can make.
I've got a half decent soldering iron and a blow torch for silver soldering radiator tanks.on my long gone Austin 1800 collection but that is it.
So to start, what tools should I look at getting and what grade/thickness/size solder etcetera.
I'd love to learn how to build my first pedal

You're in Aus too, aren't you? The best local place for pedal kits is Pedal Parts Australia, but it all depends on what you want to do.

Or go down to Jaycar and pick up some of their DIY electronic kits to practice on. I know they have a couple of guitar effects.
