My old supa mk2 oscillated from around 3 ‘ o’clock on the attack knob.

Yes, yours only had a 25µF. I believe during that era they simply added a second 25µF in parallel in case of oscillation (bringing the total value up to 50µF). Those would be soldered to the wires of the first 25µF. We've seen quite a number of variants of the piggybacked cap, but no WIMAs yet.

There are also units that have two 25µFs soldered to the circuit board. I guess those could be from a slightly later era, when someone had decided that 50µF should be standard? Those are always two WIMAs.

I've had mostly love from the 'normy' ( - love it ) community after the show although one guy called me a disgusting old man exploiting his dead relatives !
