This sort of thing is my bag, baby, it’s like a Tone Bender with extra nasty juice. Loving the “Control” knob, it makes your low notes get super sticky icky without overly adding bass frequencies to what is essentially a pretty bright pedal. Unlike the previous two creations I don’t think this one will be a big hit with the bass players, but for me my first impression is that it’s my favorite so far.
Great video. Really love the pedal playing rhythm.

Yeah decent little bit of cleanup on this one! I’m playing a Fillmore 25 with an Alnico Cream

Nice, wasn’t expecting a Boogie behind that tone! Thank you for sharing. Hoping this one gets put out again at some point, sounds right up my alley

Just got mine. This is by far my favorite to date. A little more on the vintage vibe side.

Welp.

I really tried, y'all. Truly, I dun did. Wild experiments, open-minded excursions, dancing with the hardest hitting drummer I've ever known, and more.

But this pedal is not bass friendly at all. :smashed:

'Tis okay! The other two are fantabulous at retaining ye olde lowe ende! And lo, it was good.

So it goes.

Its less sexy, but you might try using it in a loop with a clean blend, like a Boss LS-2, say. The reason that a Zeke works so well with bass is that it has a clean blend to retain some low end clarity. This is, in general, a good idea for bass fuzz/distortion pedals.

As we await the final installment, just wanted to mention how much I’ve been using and digging the Romulus — my 1965 is in the shop with the Captain and I’ve been employing this as a sort-of substitute for my fuzzy lead sounds, but it excels at more than that. I often lose myself rocking out at home practicing, playing lead lines, and find myself slamming some mean chunky riffs despite consciously being in the mindset of “this is my lead pedal, not my riffin’ pedal!” The Romulus begs you to riff on it :freakout:

In a concerted effort to finish the ritual, actually add the blurb and the photographs, I've added a digital copy of the instruction leaflet that the owners received with their evil little creations on page 1.
