Description:

The VALVE KLIPPER is a 100% tube unit based on the early '70s Laney Klipp preamp. It's effectively two circuits in one: '68 Plexi preamp (boost) and Klipp circuit (distortion/fuzz). All the saturation comes from real tube circuitry: unlike other tube pedals, it works at real tube voltages and has a dedicated power supply that feeds the tube plates with the correct 300V.

- Point to point hand wired.
- 100% tube '68 Plexi / early 70s Klipp preamp circuit.
- 2x 12AX7/ECC83 tubes.
- Real tube voltages.
- 16ga steel laser cut custom industrially painted chassis.
- Custom toroidal transformer.
- 120V/240V input selector for worldwide mains compatibility.
- Wired on vintage style RS tagstrips.
- True bypass Carling switch.
- Carbon composition resistors in the signal path.
- ERO/Vishay polyester capacitors.
- F&T, Evox/Rifa and BC electrolytic capacitors.
- Ceramic tube sockets.
- Tube dampers to avoid microphonics.
- Cliff jacks.
- Alpha potentiometers.
- Solid core wire, PVC coated, made in the USA.
- Shielded wire in sensitive areas.
- Star grounding to keep hum and noise to a minimum.

- Hand wired one by one, with love and care in Toledo, Spain.

I am very interested in this unit. I would need sound clips, reviews, etc. before dropping that kind of loot though. It looks incredible. Once some more is known of this unit (feedback from Dave or Sickle actually having the box.) a purchase from myself is very likely. :zgrin:
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.
