The Foxey Lady was the first Big Muff, made for Guild in the late 6Ts.
The FL circuit has a really nice growl to it.
It's different from all the other big muffs, hard to describe
It has a great crunch and holds together nicely in the low end.
Palm muting doesn't "flub out" as some other BM circuits do.
The 4th knob is a variable midrange cut/boost.
The depth of this filter really fleshes out the tone of this one.
Everything from a super doom scooped midrange to straight big muff (mild mid cut)
to flat cutting midrange (no scoop).
One of the things I don't like about the big muff type circuit is the fixed scooped mids.
It sounds good for heavy styles but doesn't cut through enough for lead and other rock styles.
The mid knob fixes all that, You can get a lot of different sounds just from this knob alone.
The tone knob is a "ram's head" type. Huge bottom to cutting highs with reduced bottom.
This pedal sounds good for heavy styles and for straight ahead rock lead and chordal work.
The gain cleans up nicely while staying crunchy but with reduced sustain/compression.
Sorry to over explain it...I dig this one!
At any rate...I'm selling this for $150 shipped.
The color is a brass vein, with a slight green tinge to it.
Paypal is best for me.
