Is this some sort of ground? I have had a few and seen a bunch of DAM pedals and haven't seen this on one that I can recall.

thats a ground point, because the pedal uses cliff jacks the enclosure doesn't earth on the jacks. To get around this dave uses the earthing point as seen which is a quality way of ensuring the circuit stays noise free and earthed correctly.

Sorry to hijack, but is that why my big muff tone wicker is so bloody noisy?
It's got those plastic jack mounts...
It looks like it's supposed to have some kind of a ground pin (top left) but I'm not convinced...

I had another bee that I borrowed from my friend Ross and it didn't have this. Do others have it as well? They have the same jacks no?

We switched back to using OMEG pots. The pots in question have plastic housings so are also insulated from the enclosure, hence us using the rivet and solder lug as grounding. The Alpha pots we used to use had metal casings so we could ground the circuit there.

This pedal sounds fantastic. When you dial the gain back, it gets an almost overdrive thing going on. I noticed that with the #13 Super Bee I borrowed as well. You almost need 2 bees, one for fuzz and the other for OD.

Probably one of the most versatile pedals I have owned. It will indeed go down as a classic like the Red Rooster and Titan.

To be fair to EH, there pedals are bloody cheap. that spring earth works well for Catalinbread and a few others, however the fault with the wicker is the poor componentry and high gain circuit, mine was so noisy i had to return it to the shop. The D*A*M way of doing things is the most reliable and least noisy. takes more time though, hence why its not found in many pedals.

Whew, that SB is one fine looking pedal. I can hardly wait to run one in a side-by-side with my '66
