FS: 2 x Jen/Gretsch Harmon Booster clones

Post by SonicVI »

FS: Two Jen/Gretsch Playboy Harmon Booster clones. The Harmon Booster is a late 70's all transistor medium gain overdrive/distortion that sounds quite good. The only deviation I take from the original design is the addition of a push/pull tone control that adds a mid boost. As far as I know I'm the only person making a clone of this somewhat hard to find pedal.

Here's a recent thread about my clone:
http://stompboxes.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... ter#p76119

I have one in sparkle black and one in sparkle red.

They are $140 shipped ConUS each.

I just got the red one in the mail today and have had about an hour to play around with it...very very nice pedal!! Versatile tone control and a nice crunchy tone that cleans up really well with volume/pick attack changes. Pulling up on the tone know for the mid boost adds a nice tube screamer-y type tone that fattens things up nicely. Heathly amount of boost on this one as well. The guts are like a fine work of art. I am very pleased...I think this one will be going on the new board I am making. Hey Sonic, is the 9v power supply a regular one? (dont want to damage anything!)
thanks again Sonic!! Make more....people are really going to like these things!! :crackjam: :crackjam:
