5F1 Build 5W Tone Monster PRICE DROP $300 + Shipping
I'd really like to not have to Ebay this thing so giving a deal here - less than many pedals sell here.
I really love this thing but don't really need it since I got D's Swart STR. It's a 5F1 build I did - sticking as close to original specal as was reasonable. I'm looking for $350 plus shipping (I'd like to keep this one in the US and it'll probably be about $40 for shipping. This sounds great with both my Strat and my Les Paul and is a clean an quiet build (so quiet that if I ever make one again I'm using this grounding scheme). It's in VG+ shape, not perfect but not beaten up. The only issues with the build is it was the first time I'd used the Heyboer output transformer (I've made 3 of these things) and their wire color code messed me up so I had to switch the output primarys around but by the time I did that I'd already cut the wire. So there's a little bit of wire used to extend one of the transformer wire (shrink wrapped, soldered nicely, etc.)
Here are the specs:
-Weber Chassis & Board
-Amp Cab Co Cabinet
-Weber Power Transformer and Heyboer Output Transformer
-Weber Sig 8 Alnico, 4-Ohm Speaker
-Sprague Atom Filter Caps
-Sozo Mustard Coupling Caps
-Allen Bradley 1/2w Resistors in the Signal Section
-Ohmite 5w Cathode Resistor and Xicon 2w Power Resistors
-Switchcraft Jacks
-Cloth-Covered Solid Wire
-Metal Bayonette Light (not plastic)
-JJ 12AX7, Magnavox Labeled Sylvania 6V6GT, and Philips 5Y3GT
This thing sings and I can't see how a Vic could be worth twice as much as this thing.
