Almost seems like just an over loaded amp. It's pretty light, maybe the just rolled off the
guitar's volume for the clean parts and turned up for the fuzzies.
Maybe a volume boost in front of an amp.

These songs are so great. "Summertime" gives me the chills, great version.

I doubt the solo part @ 2:30 is an overloaded amp... :drunk:

Whoops! I skipped over that part somehow.
Yeah, it sounds like an FZ-1 I'd say.

I constantly swing back and forth between FZ1 and Fuzzrite on BBHC stuff. The Woodstock version -- which I can't find anywhere online to post -- is particularly gnarly and wonderful.
Janis always sounded like she had a fuzz built in -- awesome. Best singer ever.
Dear Bongo, No.
Good deals with all these guys

That sounds great. I've never heard of them but it's pretty awesome.

agreed, it shows really what state music is in these days as you know damn well Janis wouldn't
have made it in our "x factor" society.

the Fz-1 comment was purely a guess as i've never owned or played through one :hihi:

She's too "weird" for this generation. Though, maybe people like Florence and the Machine will be viewed as Joplin is viewed today in thirty years time?
