Mailbox size limits in place

Post by devnulljp »

Just making this a sticky for a couple of months so everyone sees it.
Please clear out your mailboxes -- otherwise you won't be able to send/receive PMs.

Never really thought about it, but one of the things that's gumming up the works in this old frigate is the unlimited mailbox sizes we all have.

That's just changed I'm afraid.

I've implemented a mailbox size restriction -- 100 PMs in your in and outboxes should hopefully be enough.
After that, you'll need to clear out old mail to be able to send/receive new PMs.

I'm dredging through mine now and it's amazing how many are just sitting there doing nothing.

Any info you want to keep can be downloaded from your mailbox using the "Export as..." function

So, as of Friday Sept 3, if you've got more than 100 PMs in your mailbox, it'll be marked as full until you clean it out.

Might not be a bad idea to get in the habit of going through and deleting old stuff.

I've always wondered what the max size was. Now I guess we'll have an answer!

Is the 100 PM limit both Inbox and Sent items combined to equal 100 items or is it limited to 100 items in each?

Good point.
It should be 100 in your inbox and 100 in your outbox, and see how things go from there.
I think TGP limits it to 100 total and I've been on other forums where the limit is 20 which is a PitA.

The size of your mailbox on TGP depends on how much you contribute as a member - silver stat is 100 ( I think gold is 200 )
I have a big dick and I challenge you to swallow it or fight me strait up.
