On tagboard? Wow that's impressive! This beasty has a load of parts. I wouldn't even like to design the PCB again.capricorn_1 wrote:nice! i have done ONE on tagboard, never again haha!

yeah it was probably the most complex tag layout i have done, before i did them on vero, still complex!
worked a treat and a nice circuit for sure, looking forward to seeing how you fit it into the smaller boxes!

not particularly well put-together. Maybe £10-20 worth of parts depending where you source this stuff.
Dear Bongo, No.
Good deals with all these guys

Re:
How'd you work this out without seeing the innards? Boards are quality etched resin PCBs, board-mounted Alpha pots as good as any used by other pedal builders, Neutrik jacks, tried and tested 3pdt switches in these (Alpha switches in my pedals with buffered bypass). Having made nearly 300 pedals in the past couple of years and been frequently complimented on build quality (that and the fact these don't come back for repairs!) I reckon you're way off track with this allegation.devnulljp wrote:not particularly well put-together.
Unit cost is immaterial. Build time is what costs money. Again, compared to other low-volume boutiquers (urghghg) my prices are reasonable. Compared to vintage scramblers, muffs, companion fuzzes and harmonic percolators, I'm giving this shit away.devnulljp wrote:Maybe £10-20 worth of parts depending where you source this stuff.

Re: Re:
re. "not particularly well put-together" - It's professionally painted, made of good quality parts and nothing falls out/off when you shake it or stomp on it.Cado wrote:Funny Dev, I was thinking the same thing.devnulljp wrote:not particularly well put-together. re. tired parts cost argument - Yes, exactly the same is true of every single pedal of conventional construction you care to mention. I'm not disputing this for a second. What is your point?
