Anybody have a tone report on theirs yet? Anthony said mine will ship after Christmas. Thanks!

That's good enough for me! I was just wondering if anybody else had opinions on theirs. I can't wait for mine and the enclosure is bad ass!!!Sickle wrote:Aside from everyone that has one basically saying its the best MK II they've tried, what else you wanna know?LSGoCards7 wrote:Anybody have a tone report on theirs yet?

Colorsound == Solasound?
The OC84* Solasound is heaven. Smooth, nice harmonics, a touch of hair around the edges. The D*A*M w/ AC125s is a touch more badass -- seems to be a bit higher gain, more of a kick in the nuts, lots of presence if that helps any.
I (used to...sadly) play classical guitar, and the difference reminded me of the sort of difference between a cedar top (Solasound) and spruce top (D*A*M) guitar. Cedar is warmer and the notes kinda bloom, while spruce is just right there, springing into action.
Dancing about architecture...sorry...
Bottom line, they're both awesome.
*Edited dumb brainfart.

Re: Tone report on one of these yet?
I'd actually like to hear a side by side comparison. And why specifically do the new solas sound better and what are these judgements based on.Sickle wrote:Aside from everyone that has one basically saying its the best MK II they've tried, what else you wanna know?LSGoCards7 wrote:Anybody have a tone report on theirs yet?
Heck... Cubas oc81d MKII sounds better than mine, and my oc81d sounds better than my friends... Spittier and more focused mids... Tighter low end.... Etc. Etc.... I know this because I've played 'em all through big boy amps at real volumes.
It would be cool to hear how the new ones survive under pressure too.
