Texas Instrument transistor info

Post by Tin Shack King »

Christer's Otsola Mk1 has two black glass OC75's and a single metal can Texas Instruments D1041/537 transistor. I couldn't find any information on that particular TI transistor type. Does anyone here have any experience with that little beastie, and if so, how does it spec to other TI transistor types? What transistor is it the most similar to?
Thanks in advance!

It is the 2g374 transistor. A couple years back there was an ebay seller offering large quantity of these. He showed photo of a box with factory label showing both part numbers 2g374 and D1041, so it may have been order for a specific customer. Or a hoax ;) I grabbed some of these and they are really nice in a MKI.

edit. Of course there were some noisy lemons in a stash, but a reputable builder would avoid using these.
