D*A*M Meathead Dark.

Post by drunkenguitarist »

Since no one has done it I figured that I might as well be the first. :hihi:
Might not be the most exciting video I've made so far as its just a few sustaining chords. Still sounds heavy as all hell, though. :crackjam:

No Problem, man. :tu:
I just wish I had a half stack with 4x12's to hear what this little monster sounds like the way its meant to be heard.

:marx: why don't I ship my Marshall Jubilee & 4x12 over to Alaska?... or you could ship that Meathead over to the UK... may be the easier option! just kidding.
Strangley, in some ways I prefer my black n' gold Meathead through my Deluxe Reverb over the Jube. I think smaller speakers and open-backed combos really deliver with some fuzzes, and not so much with others.

havent heard the clip yet, I'm at work. But I managed to try a dark at high volumes.
At normal volumes in a 1*12 it's not very punchy with my strat... didn't sound very well actually. Instead the B&G was great already there.

So I plugged it into the 4*12 with an sg (dropped to C), crancked up the volume and god... it sounded great!!! The Low end was really angry and the speakers were shaking for good! It was so great sounding I forgot to plug the strat into the 4*12

Gotta remember to use the strat next time... but with humbuckers it's definitely the best!

Man, I'd seriously send the MH Dark your way if you were in the States to do a demo that would serve it right.
I tend to think that the added compression of small combo's makes some fuzz units sound all the more sweeter.
Well, this might be my last post for a while. I wish all you guys a great summer!
