This is just fuel on the fire. I have a feeling 6 thick strings are in my not so distant future.
Sounds great Philip. Flat wounds on yet/soon? Dig the Duncan design pickups? So many peeps I've heard swap them out.
Glad you got a good one!!!

Will change to flatwounds when the current strings are shot.

The nut is messy and the low E string needs to be thicker, but nowt that can't be worked around whilst playing. The pickups sound fine to me.

I want a matching Jaguar now. Wish Squier did it with the block inlays and neck binding. :hihi:

Put the flatwounds on and it's quite different. Less sustain, more tic-tac 60's sounding, no fret buzz and the low E has much better note definition.

This is the bass sound i've been wanting for years. :tu:

^ That sounds really great, Philip. Did you record that straight into Garageband with your Apogee Jam?
I need something to record bass parts for demo tracks and a good cheap baritone might just be where it's at…

PS What gauge flatwounds did you throw on?

I used the JamUp thing in Auria. Labella flatwounds, 95 - 26. :tu:
