Foxx tone machine
Does anyone have opinions on the new Foxx tone machine reissue good or bad? Is it anything like the original or is it a mass produced shadow of its former self? If anyone would know it would be you guys.

Here's a pretty good offer in the US if you prefer fuzz only:

i've owned both new and old tone machines and i'd have to say that the new ones sound really good! i'm pretty sure they even use the same transistors and circuit board layout as the originals. -jim

From my experience I would agree the reissues sound pretty much identical to the old ones.

too bad they didn't make the case a little more sturdy, that would have been a good improvement...the old ones are like tin foil thin...

How similar is the Fulltone Ultimate Octave? I have one and I love it.

How does the foxx tone machine differ sonically from a superfuzz? I got a superfuzz and its one of my favorite tones.

i'm pretty sure the fulltone is an octavia clone... quite different than the fOXX.Damn-Deal-Done wrote:How similar is the Fulltone Ultimate Octave? I have one and I love it.

the fOXX is way fatter and louder and has a true octave up on a switch.... if your talking about a univox superfuzz i think the octave is very subtle on that. i don't think the super fuzz is supposed to be an octave pedal but sort of creates a slight upper octave. it definitely has no octave switch.
